Banana ‘Ice Cream’
This is one of my favorite desserts to make for my toddler! It’s made with only one ingredient and makes for a great treat without any added sugar.
Ingredients
Ripe Frozen Bananas (as many as you’d like)
Instructions
1. Cut frozen bananas into smaller chunks
2. Transfer to a food processor or high-powered blender
3. Blend until smooth. At first, they might seem crumbly, but keep blending. You might need to stop the blender and scrape down the sides to ensure even blending. Eventually, the bananas will transform into a creamy, ice cream-like consistency.
Recipe Notes:
- The banana ‘ice cream’ tends to have a texture similar to soft serve ice cream. If you prefer a firmer texture, you can transfer the blended mixture back into a container and freeze it for an additional hour or two before serving.
- Enjoy as is or add some fun toppings! I love to use sprinkles (made without artificial dyes), blueberries, spoonful of nut butter, or a handful of chocolate chips.
